Pleasure Guild of Nationwide Children’s Hospital

About Pleasure Guild

Pleasure Guild’s mission is to serve Nationwide Children’s Hospital by means of direct volunteer work and fundraising support to help provide happiness to patients and their families and to sustain hospital programs.

Because when it comes to your child… Everything Matters.

Founded in 1908, Pleasure Guild is an organization of 65 women committed to raising funds for Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s hospice and palliative care program. This program provides care for children for whom a cure is beyond reach.  The services are typically provided in a child’s home to keep the child comfortable and provide spiritual and emotional support to the child and his/her family. Each year, the women of Pleasure Guild raise more than $200,000 for the hospice and palliative care program. This is achieved from the organization of and participation in several fundraisers, including Once Upon A Night, a black-tie gala; SPAGIO: A Celebration of Wine, Food and Dining with the Stars and the Memorial Tournament. Additionally, Pleasure Guild’s leading fundraiser is a professionally directed family play production held annually in March at the Palace Theatre in Columbus. This March, Pleasure Guild will present “Seussical the Musical.” For more information, please visit the Seussical page.

Pleasure Guild women are the only hospital auxiliary to have direct patient contact from their involvement in the circulation of a library cart. Pleasure Guild is also committed to teaching preschoolers about basic safety and injury prevention via the Safety Awareness for Everyone (SAFE) program.
