Pleasure Guild of Nationwide Children’s Hospital

Annual Play Production

We have decided to postpone putting on a play in 2017 in order to hold a celebratory gala event to honor 60 years of Pleasure Guild productions. We want to honor past actors, musicians, creative team members, and PG leaders who helped build this wonderful tradition that we cherish.

Thank you to everyone who supported Pleasure Guild, and the wonderful organization we support, by attending our March 2016 production of Mary Poppins! It was an amazing show, and we are thrilled to have been able to give back so much to the Hospice and Palliative Care teams, thanks to your generosity! We will bring back our production at the Palace Theater in 2018!

Celebrating Our Rich History and a Bright Tomorrow

Pleasure Guild’s first play, “Hansel and Gretel,” was produced in 1958 at the Columbus Gallery of Fine Arts. From this humble beginning, our annual play has grown into a full-scale theater production – known and respected throughout Columbus and beyond – which raises upwards of $200,000 each year for Nationwide Children’s Hospital. With more than 20 years of performances at The Palace Theatre, Pleasure Guild members do it all – from marketing and public relations to costume and prop coordination. Because of state-of-the-art promotional tools and technology made available to us by the hospital and an experienced creative team, we are able to produce Broadway-quality, family friendly shows. With four public performances and one free performance given each year for more than 2,700 inner-city school children, these annual productions continue to be our leading fundraising project. For some of these children, it is their first exposure to the stage. View more than 50 years  of past Pleasure Guild productions.
